L.A.'s Most Popular Film Location Is ...

Griffith Park.

With more than 4,000 acres of chaparral, trails, roads, and various facilities, the park has stood in for everything from an inner-city playground to the Alps. And Griffith Park has been a favorite of movie makers for a century. In fact, one silent movie mogul once exclaimed: "A rock is a rock, a tree is a tree ... Shoot it in Griffith Park!"

The Los Angeles Times recently had an article about the park's continued success as a film location.
